Anthony Fonseca sdb BARODA, OCTOBER 1, 2008: Come Navratri and all roads literally lead to Baroda, the ‘garba capital’ of the world! But before Navratri actually begins and the city explodes into a riot of colour and costumes, the people of Baroda look forward to a very special event, the traditional ‘Ratri before Navratri’ organized by Don Bosco every year. The event this year was organized by the Don Bosco PTA on Saturday, September 27. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Shreeram Shinde. Pankaj Paritosh and the Soor Orchestra enthralled the dancers with their excellent garba music. The dancers, young and old, attired in traditional garba costumes, thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the evening. Amidst the huge number of people present, were many students, parents and teachers from the school. A variety of prizes were given out, which made the event even more exciting.
