Ivan Rodrigues sdb AHMEDNAGAR, OCTOBER 25, 2008: The Agadgaon villagers accorded a warm welcome to the 22 young and robust boys of Don Bosco Lonavla, and to Fr. Thomas D’ Costa and Bro. P.M. Thomas who accompanied them. The village youth sang a song, performed an aarati and tied the traditional turban for the visiting guests. Addressing the villagers Fr. Thomas thanked them for their warmth and cheerfulness. He also implored God’s blessing upon the village and all the people. Earlier the boys visited St. John’s Church, Bhingar and were briefed about the Salesian work in Ahmednagar. Before proceeding to Agadgaon, the boys made brief halts at Rathdgaon and Tokewadi villages. After this they moved on to see some of the Watershed Development work carried out by Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra in the villages of Ahmednagar. The Lonavla boys were on an exposure visit from October 19 to 22, to gain some knowledge about the Salesian ministry in Ahmednagar.
