Osborm Furtado sdb PUNE, APRIL 18, 2009: The Summer Camp for the children from the neighbourhood slums being organized at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Koregaon Park, had a colourful start on April 16. This camp has been organized by DBYC in collaboration with the AUM foundation. During the opening ceremony, Fr. Vincent Rasquinha, Rector, addressed the children and told them to always remain cheerful. He further added that the camp was being organized to help them enjoy the holidays while at the same time learning something useful. The programme of the camp includes classes in Mathematics, English, Computers, as well as coaching in football, basketball and a variety of other games. There will also be a week long ‘art workshop’ to help the children develop their talents in drawing and painting. The camp will conclude on May 23.
