NASHIK, JANUARY 13, 2010: On January 10, 2010 the Solemnity of the Baptism of our Lord Jesus, the Dominican Youth of Igatpuri Sacred Heart Parish, along with the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Santiago and brothers of Divyadaan organized a day of gathering for all the youngsters of Nasik Don Bosco, St. Patrick’s, St. Anne’s and Holy Cross Parishes in Satyagiri Retreat Centre at Igatpuri. The day commenced with praise and worship, animated by the Dominican youth. This was followed by a session ‘On Relationship’ by Rev. Fr.Edison Fernandez sdb. In his session he brought out the reason why relationships break and there is less commitment in society. He also spelled out the reasons for Christian girls choosing their partners from other religions. From their questions he guided them on having good and mature relationship with others. After the short break the youngsters were called to put forward their questions to a panel. Fr. Edison and Sr. Sylvie answered the queries.

After this followed mass, the banquet of love, the highest form to relate with God, celebrated by Fr. Santiago and Fr. Ivo. The Eucharist was well animated. The next session was handled by Sr. Sylvie. “To relate with others we need to relate with ourselves and God”, he explained. Towards the end the Youth had an exercise on writing some good qualities on those they befriended during the programme. The gathering ended with animated games and words of gratitude to those who made this day possible.
