CHHOTAUDEPUR, JANUARY 13, 2010: On January 11, 2010 14 village leaders from 7 villages of Chhotaudepur went for an exposure visit to Rajkot and visited a village called Rajsinyala about 35 kms out of the city. The striking impact on the village leaders were to know that all the decisions made by the villagers of this village were for their own good. Everyone had a say and the village had their own set of rules. The highlight of this village was a list of rules this village followed with a set fine for each rule. No one was allowed to dirty the village nor drink or sell liquor and ghutka. The reformation of this village was gradual but sure. The reason for this long trip was to encourage the village leaders to lead the villagers to better governance and prosperity in lives of the villages.
