NASHIK, JULY 22, 2010: Celebrating the Liturgy in a proper manner and with proper sacred vessels is a Salesian trait. Don Bosco wanted his sons and daughters to celebrate liturgy well. Don Bosco Parish, Nashik tried to put into practice the mandate given by Don Bosco as regards the Liturgy and its Celebration. Several sacred vessels, vestments, albs, stoles, altar-servers clothes, altar cloths and statues were purchased for Don Bosco Parish, Dominic Savio Church, Satpur and also for the house private Chapel.
Fr. Nelson Falcao, the Parish Priest, in consultation with the Parish Councils and the Fathers, was planning to make the big purchase for quite some time. He made a good study of the availability of the sacred articles and also their prices. The final outcome was successful. Fr. Nelson blessed the articles after the Sunday Eucharistic Celebration and explained to the people the necessity and the need to spend on Sacred Religious Articles required for a fitting Liturgical Celebration.
