BORIVILI, AUGUST 9, 2010: Salesian Cooperators of Don Bosco Borivli unit in keeping with their theme of the Third South Asia Regional Congress 'RETURN TO DON BOSCO, RETURN TO THE YOUNG ' have taken up as a project to teach the boys of Bosco Boys Home, Borivli. These boys come from different strata of the society. Most of them are drop outs. The Cooperators spend one hour in the morning and one hour in the evenings teaching them to read, write and speak English. The boarders are also taught catechism, prayers and Mass readings. In the course of this learning, the Cooperators also try to inculcate values in these youngsters.

The Cooperators have taken up this project in real earnest. The enthusiasm and eagerness of the boys for learning is matched with the love, affection and dedication of the Cooperators to do some good for the young. The boys are very happy and they wait every morning and evening to see the kind and loving faces of the Cooperators. It is also as much a learning experience for the Cooperators as the interaction with these youth reveals their cheerful, optimistic attitude in times of difficulty. The Cooperators feel young in spirit, as they look forward to greeting the boys each day with joy. It is also so rewarding and a soul’s delight to see the progress made by these youngsters.

The Strenna of Rector Major 'WE WANT TO SEE JESUS' is being bought to life by our delegate, Rev Fr Ronald Menezes during our monthly meetings. He wants us to be living witnesses of Jesus to all around us. To live, to serve and to love God are three important aspects of evangelization and bearing witness of Christ. Teaching English and Catechism to the Bosco Boys is a loving responsibility undertaken by the Cooperators in this regard.
