CHOTTAUDEPUR, AUGUST 19, 2010: August 15, 2010 was a red lettered day for Chhotaudepur which celebrates August 15 the Salesian Feast par excellence of The Assumption, The Nation's Independence and also the Parish Feast, Called MuktiDayani Mata (Our Lady of Freedom/Liberation) For us there was still another big event, as bishop Rt. Rev. Godfrey de Rozario to graced the occasion and also confirmed eleven young candidates of our parish. This was a long awaited event, an event of prayer and patience which saw the light of day after a long time. Bishop Godfrey spoke of the need to be agents of Change not just to our nation but also to spiritually bring about a change through prayer which is what our eleven confirmants of our little parish here at chhotaudepur have vouched for. They are now Soldiers confirmed for Christ empowered with the Holy Spirit. We can truly say that this was a grace filled event and a time to see a light dawn from the horizon.
