KAPADVANJ, SEPTEMBER 20, 2010: On September 19, 2010 Amrut Dhara, Don Bosco Kapadvanj organized the Ninth Annual Marian Quiz. This quiz was organized for all Don Bosco schools in Gujarat and all the parishes in Umreth Deanery. Don Bosco Kawant, Chottaudepur, Dakor, and Snehalaya participated in the quiz. There was also a team from Thasra and Kathlal.
The quiz began at 10.30 with a short and meaningful prayer service. During which Fr. Gregoray D’almeida, the Rector of Kawant the chief guest for the day garlanded the statue of Our Lady and lit the lamp. Mr. Robinson Vaghela was the quiz master. There were eleven rounds in all comprising of questions and puzzles. All the participants were well prepared. Krupesh, one of the aspirants entertained the participants during the intervals’ with his humorous sayries and jokes.
Don Bosco Dakor emerged as winners of the quiz. They were followed by Snehalaya in the second place and Kawant in the third. Fr. Gregory addressed the gathering saying the important aspect of the quiz to increase devotion and knowledge of Mary. All the participants were then treated to sumptuous meal.
