NERUL, OCTOBER 15, 2010: Don Bosco Senior Secondary School organized a Science exhibition cum competition for classes IV to VIII. This event was aimed at providing a common platform to students to give shape to their creative and innovative ideas. With great enthusiasm, the students, under the guidance of the teachers started working for this exhibition.

The choice of topics was varied and remarkable. A total number of two hundred and ninety students participated and fifty nine exhibits were displayed. The students were divided into groups of five. Each group made a project based on their understanding of Science and its application. In the judges seats the exhibition saw distinguished scientists and educationists viz. 1. Dr. A.M. Bhagwat (Head of Radiation Safety systems Division), Dr. Sangurdekar(Joint co-ordinator of National Science Children's Congress), Dr. Shome (Research scholar in Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education) evaluated the exhibits of classes VI, VII and VIII. Mrs. Sane (Former Principal of BARC school), Mrs. Jyotsna and Mrs. Shiny evaluated the exhibits of Classes IV and V. Parents and students were allowed to view the exhibits from 1.15pm to 2.30pm. Working model of heart, Energy efficient society, Rainwater harvesting, solar oven, Pesticide cycle, Hovercraft, Bioluminescence were some of the projects prepared by the students. The oral presentations of every item were also remarkable. Lastly, the co-operation extended by the parents is definitely mentionable which made the whole project a big success.
