MATUNGA, JULY 8, 2011: On July 6, 2011 Don Bosco School - Matunga celebrated the feast of St. Dominic Savio with a mass for all the catholic school children in the Shrine, followed by the Installation of the School captains and monitors. It was a grand occasion for the school to have its new leaders. The NCC, RSP and te Scouts also joined the School captains and monitors in their Oath ceremony.
 
The school captain Shannon Nogueira and vice captain Pratik Mohapatra were then invested by Fr. Rector and Fr. Bosco. The monitors were invested by Fr. Derrick and the teachers. Among the school leaders were three boarders Allan-Activity Captain, Royden – Vice Activity Captain, and Keyur – Yellow house Vice Captain in the student council and one class monitor Akhil Philip.

The boarding boys also had their installation ceremony in the evening, followed by the Savio Nite. The Boarding captain Nigel, vice – captain Royden and the four house leaders, Rinaldo, Ryan, Edward and Allan were then invested by Fr. Jude, with the medals of Our Lady as a sign of leaders in the boarding. The Installation ceremony was then followed by the Savio Nite with its interesting games, Quiz, Skits, Ads and various other competitions. The Feast of St. Dominic Savio ended with the Prize Distribution Ceremony, giving away prizes to the teams which participated in the Dominic Savio Week.
