BIS #2448 LEADERS INSTALLED ON THE FEAST OF DOMINIC SAVIO- YERWADA

YERWADA, JULY 11, 2011: St. Dominic Savio’s feast was celebrated with a two-fold as a magnificent Investiture Ceremony was held in the school hall to install hundred and thirty six leaders for the academic year 2011-12. There was Holy Eucharist for the catholic students and prayer service held for the non- catholic students. A film on the life of Dominic Savio was shown to them in their classes on the LCD. That acquainted the students with the extraordinary deeds of an ordinary school boy.
  
She introduced St. Dominic Savio as a leader who worked diligently and followed the school rules He was obedient to his teachers and chose his companions carefully. Hence, the day of St. Dominic Savio’s Feast was found apt for installing the school leaders so that they imbibe his values in themselves.
  
The school leaders pledged and took the oath in the presence of Fr. Anton D’souza the Rector and received their house flags and ties as a mark of their allegiance. In the same manner, the class monitors were installed by the Principal Fr. Donald Fernandez. Finally the prefects of various houses of each class were installed by Rev. Fr. George Miranda the Administrator and Fr. Anthony Goyal. This new set of leaders will take charge of the discipline, and activities for the year and will lead more than eight hundred and fifty students to perform well under the careful supervision of the teachers.
  
Fr. Rector, Fr. Principal and Fr. Kharjia’s speech made the leaders aware of their duties and responsibilities. Fr. Principal congratulated the leaders and wished them in their endeavors.
