RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA) - BORIVLI

BIS Correspondent
BORIVLI, SEPTEMBER 15, 2011: There was added joy at the parish of St. John Bosco on the feast of the Exaltation of the Cross as eleven adults from the vicinity took their first step towards being finally initiated in the Catholic Church.  The Rite of Acceptance by the Parish Community was held on September 14, 2011. The journey which began in June will now carry on till the Easter Vigil 2012, when they will be officially welcomed into the church receiving the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation.

The Parish Priest, Fr. Ronnie Menezes, during the celebration of the Eucharist welcomed these individuals and in his homily stressed on the words of St Paul: “We proclaim the crucified Christ, a message that is offensivethe Jews and nonsense to the gentiles; but for those whom God has called it is the power and the wisdom of God”.

The Parish is proud that this year we have eleven adults who have voluntarily decided to accept Christ as their personal Saviour.

My family is an orthodox muslim one and I have never really had anyone to guide me on the path to be a good christian. Have knocked several doors and this is the last time I would like to give it a try. Please help or advise me as much as possible.
