SSC RESULTS ARE DECLARED…OFFICIALLY!

WADALA, JUNE 22, 2012: Our SSC batch of March 2012, along with a sparse number of parents – understandable, since the excitement has ebbed ever since the day of the online SSC results – gathered in the school hall for the official declaration (and collection) of their SSC results. The staff (from the kindergarten to SSC) too turned out in strength to be a part of the celebration, and to wish our students well for the future. This convivial presence of the staff, parents and students reflected the spirit of the batch, and also the mutual respect for one another.

Congratulating the students, the Principal, Fr. Bernard Fernandes, said that a 100% result would have been ideal – and who does not aim for this ideal – yet there was  no cause for a 'toning down' of celebration since there are certain circumstances that are beyond our control.  We are proud of every SSC student, and our top achievers- we could not have asked for more. He said, now it is time for them to continue the good work, and shine in a similar manner where one has to weigh the good with the bad and be graceful in failures while rejoicing in success. The parents too were singled out for appreciation and honor.

Fr. Bernard declared the overall results of the school (98.2 %), and the top ten toppers of the school.  The top three students (Dharmin Shah – 95.82 %, Purav Mehta- 95.27 %, Karan Parmar – 94.36 %) were felicitated by the Principal and the Vice-Principal.  Ms. Nicole, our Vice-Principal and Headmistress, then announced the toppers in each subject – and indeed they had done exceptionally well; while a few scored the maximum mark, the others came within an ace of doing it!

In a rare gesture, the former head boy of the school, Rishabh Deshpande, came forward to thank the management, staff and the parents for the part that they played in their success.  His words – and he represented his batch – resonated gratitude.  He ended with a short poem – a quatrain you may say:
"Gone are the days when our school reopened in June
Never thought it would end so soon.
But we will always remember the tune
Ad Majora Natus Sum"
