WANNA BE A ROCKSTAR – LEGION CONGRESS

BIS Correspondent

BORIVLI, JUNE 25, 2012: The Virgin most Prudent Junior Curia conducted the Legion Congress at Don Bosco Borivli, on June 24, 2012 with the theme 'WANNA BE A ROCKSTAR'. Seventy two Junior Legionaries and eighteen seniors from eleven parishes participated in the Congress from 9am to 4pm.

Fr. George Carlos the main celebrant in his highly motivating talk spoke of the authentic Rock stars like the young saint Dominic Savio and St John the Baptist who stood by their convictions and inspired all by their way of life. Shalina Rodrigues from IC Parish spoke of contemporary and Biblical rock stars like Abraham and Moses who had a strong spiritual foundation due to which they could withstand all odds in their lives.

The interactive games displayed how each one could be a rock star in their own way in the places they interact with their brothers and sisters. Fr. Glenn Lowe with his presentations through Song and Video clippings related to the theme and stressed how each and every Legionary could bloom as unique individuals created by God for a particular purpose. The Dedication and love of the leaders from the various parishes could be seen by their very presence and the way they interacted with the Junior Legionaries.
