GRAND PARENTS DAY CELEBRATION

 

MATUNGA JULY 25, 2012 :   At Don Bosco Matunga, we are constantly striving to bring more and more people into our fold.   On July 24, 2012, Grandparents Day celebrated in the Primary Section of our school is one such step in this direction.  We have tried to make the grandparents of our students a part of our extended family.  Thanks to the efforts of our School management, staff, P.T.A. members, parent volunteers and students we could reach out to our Grandparents on this day and thank them for their nurturing presence in our lives

After a warm and hearty welcome in the traditional Indian style, through a lovely Power Point Presentation specially prepared by Mrs. Winifred Fernandes, the Head Teacher of the Primary Section for this day and a short Prayer service, the grandparents witnessed an energetic performance in the form of dances and songs performed by our students.  The Head Teacher in her speech reminisced fondly about her grandmother.   What really made this day a memorable one was the performance given by some of our grandparents who willingly came up on stage to dance for their grand children.  The grandparents all left with fond memories of this day.
