AHMEDNAGAR August 7, 2012: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra as a part of its neighbourhood ministry conducted orientation programmes in two schools i.e. Sacred Heart Convent School and Don Bosco High School Savedi for the students of Standard Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth.  Around seven hundred and fifty students benefited from this orientation programme.
The orientation programme began with a small prayer service. Br. Ramesh Durairaj, the chief coordinator of this programme welcomed all the students for the programme and explained to them the purpose of having this programme.
The programme consisted of talks, video clippings, group discussions.  It aimed at identifying one’s own gifts, talents, values in life and one’s attitude towards life. The sessions were conducted by Br. Ramesh and Fr. George.  For the first time BGVK ventured into such ministry of catering to the school going students.
Children enjoyed the programme very much and it was highly appreciated by them. The principals of both the schools did appreciate the initiative of BGVK to conduct this programme and have invited for many more programmes of such kind in the coming year.
At the end of the programme children were very much grateful to the institution for its valuable programme and its interest in their welfare. The workshop ended with words of appreciation from the students and the management of the schools.
