MARATHI DAY CELEBRATED AT DON BOSCO NASIK

Blaise James Fernandes s.d.b.

NASIK, AUGUST 17, 2012 :   Don Bosco School And Junior College, Nasik, Maharashtra commemorated the birth anniversary of  Bal Gangadhar Tilak.  He was one of the great visionary of the Indian Freedom Movement.   Don Bosco School Nasik celebrated his birthday as  “Marathi Day” in his honour.

All the little girls of the school looked resplendent dressed in the traditional  Nav  wari Sari and the nose ring.

The boys looked like the grown up men dressed in white Kurta Pajamas and the traditional Nehru Topi.
A speech based on the thoughts of Tilak, motivated the students to demand their rights and was the icing to the cake. Thanks to the Principal Fr. Diego the children were joyfully in touch with their roots.
