DON BOSCO’S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION’S AT NERUL

NERUL, AUGUST,18,2012 :  16th August 1815 was the day on which the earth was blessed with a great saint by the name of John Bosco.  Since the past fifteen days before the birth anniversary of Don Bosco this year, the students of Don Bosco School, Nerul were shown various power point presentations and videos on the greatness of the saint.

Not only were the videos phosphorescent and enlightening, but also taught values we should imbibe in our lives.  Incidents from St. John Bosco’s childhood portrayed that his heart overflowed with love, kindness and charity.  The videos were made attractive through the song “Live the dream.”

They also taught us to be good students.  The videos beseeched us to live the dream of Don Bosco.  The dream of Don Bosco was to educate young people to become role models to the youth.

A written quiz conducted for classes IX and X helped to increase knowledge of Don Bosco way of life. The activities and puzzles giving the message of Don Bosco were interesting and knowledgeable.  Through the Prayer service conducted on the Birthday we were blessed.
