OUTREACH PROGRAMME AT NAGAR

 

 

AHMEDNAGAR, AUGUST 20, 2012:  Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra as a part of its neighbourhood ministry organised an outreach programme for the students of Sacred Heart Convent School and Carmel Convent School on the Independence Day.  Around four hundred and thirty students  participated in the same.  It was a magnificient experience for the children. The outreach programme began after the flag hoisting ceremony in their respective schools. The children of the class eight and nineth were sent to the Ahmednagar Railway Station, three bus Depots, Civil Hospital and St.Ann’s Church for a cleanliness drive and thus to promote an  eco - friendly environment. 

Br. Ramesh Durairaj welcomed all the students for the programme and explained to them the purpose of having this programme.   For the first time in the history of Ahmednagar this programme was orgainized on 15th of August.

The outreach programme was conducted under the able guidance of Br. Ramesh, the chief co-ordinator of the programme, Fr. George and the teachers from the respective schools.                

Children enjoyed the outreach programme and were very much greatful to BGVK for organizing such a wonderful programme.  The principals of both the schools appreciated the initiative of BGVK to conduct this outreach programme and have invited to organise many more programmes like this in the coming year.
