BORIVLI , SEPTEMBER 07,2012 : The Guru Disciple tradition is a unique feature of our nation. The ‘Guru’ is the one who leads us out from ignorance to the light of knowledge. Our teachers are our guru. That is why Teachers day is celebrated as the auspicious day to offer gratitude at the 
feet of our teachers.
September 05, 2012 was a very special day for all the teachers of Don Bosco High School Borivli as the students showered their love and blessings to their teachers.
The celebration started with a mass and prayer service for the teachers. Fr. Principal, George Carlos, in his homily shared some of his childhood thoughts and experiences which he had with his teachers.
The program was followed by the felicitation of all the class teachers along with their co- teachers, the PTA members of all the classes along with their class representatives showcased a mind blowing programme for the teachers comprising of song, dance, jokes and riddles.
The teachers, then, attained a common programme prepared by the students of std. ninth and tenth. The school captain gave a respectful address to all the teachers, talking about the important role of teachers in their life.
The Don Bosco Alumni, Borivli unit presented the teachers with a memento as a token of their gratitude. This alumni has been honouring the teachers since the last fourteen years.
The teachers were given the ’BOSCO- FARE’ awards as a token of their love and gratitude by the students. The programme ended with an outstanding dance performance by our very own students.
Last but not the least all the teachers and the support staff were felicitated by our dearest Fr. Rector, William Falcao, Fr. Principal George Carlos and Fr. Allwyn Misquitta our administrator followed by delicious meal arranged for the teachers.
