WADALA-MUMBAI, FEBRUARY 05, 2013: The Cultural Cell of the parish of Our Lady of Dolours, Wadala, once again ventured out to organize a three day Fun Fair on our grounds from January 25 to 27 January. This event was in aid of the Social Welfare projects of the Dolours Empowerment Centre, for the poor and needy parishioners.
It comprised of the usual competitions, games, refreshment, clothes and curios stalls for every taste and age. Besides we had Rony Gomes and his band in attendance on the first day and the "Second Chance group" rocked the show on the second day. The final day had our D.J. Aurelius, together with his sound providing the music for the jam session that concluded the events.
On the first day we had drawing and singing competitions. The second day 'Best from Waste," fancy dress and group dance competitions. On the final day we had the Face Painting, solo dance competitions and concluded with the 'Masala".
It was a combined effort of the parish with the youth and many volunteers taking up responsibilities and giving off their best to the very end. Although we did not get a very good response on first day, it improved tremendously on the second and the last day.
