BLOOD AND ROSES ON PASSION SUNDAY

YERWADA-PUNE, APRIL 02, 2013: Christ shed His blood for humankind. The Strikers Youth Group of Sacred Heart Church, Yerwada organized a blood donation camp as a small gesture of their concern for humanity.
There was a huge response from the parishioners and many volunteered to donate blood which was collected by Ruby Hall Clinic.
Another special activity which marked Palm Sunday besides the procession and the Eucharistic Celebration was the flowering of the cross at Mount Calvary.
The children of the parish came up to the huge cross and placed their flowers on the cross . It was an exciting moment for the parents to see their children decorating the cross with many flowers.
