SAVEDI-AHMEDNAGAR MAY 02, 2013: Maharashtra Day and workers day was celebrated in Don Bosco Vidyalaya, Savedi-Ahmednagar on May 1, 2013. The Management made this an occasion to bid farewell to three of its members Fr. Augustine Pereira, Fr. James Nigrel and Fr. Anthony Goyal early in the morning during the assembly.

Many students, teachers and parents were present during the flag hoisting ceremony after which everyone joined in bidding farewell to Fr. Augustine, the present Parish priest of Don Bosco Savedi who will continue his ministry in Satpur, Nasik, to Fr. James, the Vice-Rector and Principal of Don Bosco Vidyalaya who will continue his ministry in Suket, Rajasthan and to Fr. Anthony, the Prefect of Studies and Supervisor of Don Bosco Vidyalaya who will continue his ministry in Savedi itself as the Principal of the Don Bosco English medium School, Prefect of studies and Catechist.

One of the teachers expressed his words of gratitude on behalf of everyone making also this wonderful statement about the three of them, "It is said that there are three types of people who you will encounter in your life. The first are those who will test you, the second are those who will teach you and the third are those who will bring the best out of you." Indeed the three of them have made Don Bosco Savedi a better place by their presence.

Fr. Manuel Murzello, the Rector of Don Bosco Savedi felicitated the three with a bouquet of flowers. Fr. Augustine spoke on behalf of the three of them saying, "A person learns from the time of being in the mother's womb to the tomb. We too have learnt a lot from all of you and indeed you have made a difference in our life. Though we are leaving we will always be happy to come now and then to see you. Keep being the good and cheerful people that you are. God bless." With this, the short farewell came to an end.

The hearts of those present were moved hearing of the going of three salesians. Indeed now they wait in expectation of those who will come in their place who will fill their void.
