by BIS correspondent

NASIK, JULY 31, 2013: On the 12th of July 2013 the students of Don Bosco School celebrated Nashik Mahakavi Kalidas Din a day in honor of the great saint, Kalidas whose poetical works in Sanskrit are well known.  Don Bosco School celebrated this day as Sanskrit day.

The senior most students proposed that Sanskrit is a divine language, received in gifts from our ancestors. Kalidas is not cleverer than kalidas was the topic of the play performed by some students.

As the chief guest Mrs. Vaishali Vaidya enlightened the occasion by encouraging the students not only to learn Sanskrit for the exams but also as a means to gain wisdom and enjoy the beautiful literature written by great writers.
