BIS # 4053 FAUX BRIDES COMPETE AT DBCC

AHMEDNAGAR-MAHARASHTRA, JULY 29, 2014: The Beautician (and allied services) department of Don Bosco Community College organized a bridal make-up and dressing competition for all its students – in which twenty-three students participated; of which twelve were shortlisted for the final round held on  July 25, 2014. The students were expected to dress like brides and they took pain-staking efforts to dress like brides depicting twelve different cultures and religions.


 The judges for this competition were eminent people from this field. The Mahila Mandal group and other ladies of the parish were invited as the guests of honour for the competition. Miss Rena Naidu won the first prize and Miss Emaliya Coutinho the second prize. The main purpose of the competition was to evaluate the performance of this department and the skills imparted to the students of the newly started department at Don Bosco Community College. Secondly this competition aimed at the promotion of the department so as to attract many more students to this course.
