DAKOR-GUJARAT, JANUARY 17, 2015: The Don Bosco Kindergarten School (English Medium), Dakor organised a wonderful sports day on January 10, 2015 in Dakor. The programme began with a march-past of four teams namely Joy, Peace, Love and Truth with their placards on the main ground. Each leader firmly installed their team placards. The children began with a prayer, invoking the presence of the Divine to bless the event.
Satyam, a student from the Senior KG welcomed the Chief Guest Fr. Isaac Arackaparambil and the gathering. The students were then given instructions to get themselves ready for the sports exercises. Every team came ahead with their typical exercise. The team Joy and Love advanced to perform their Flag exercise headed by Meena. Thereafter, Abhishek took charge of leading the teams Truth and Peace with dumbbell exercise.
The sports events plunged in to keep the ball rolling. The games like 20 metre race for boys and girls stimulated great energy among the kids. Events like sack race, spoon - lemon race, book race, hurdle race, picking stone race, frog race, one legged race, filling the bottle race percolated immense happiness for the parents who witnessed the sports day. The kindergarten students were encouraged by the parent’s applause to excel better in all the sports activities. The tug-o-war was an activity that boosted new strength in the students.
The prize distribution brought the event to an end. The students were awarded for their participation and for the victory they achieved in particular races. The prizes were presented by the Chief Guest, Fr. Isaac Arackaparambil. Fr. Isaac thanked the teachers and Sr. Bela the Principal, who conducted this event. Fr. Isaac praised the active participation of students in such events and evoked the parents to encourage their child in other activities too. Lastly, the sports day kept the kids active, alive, alert, awake and enthusiastic.
