BIS # 4394 BSVS ORGANIZED LIVELIHOOD TRAINING FOR TRIBAL WOMEN

WALVANDA-MAHARASHTRA, MARCH 12, 2015: Bosco Samajik Vikas Sanstha (BSVS) organized a skill training programme on 'Dosa making' for the tribal women of Jawhar and Mokhada Talukas on March 10, 2015. This training was part of the series of trainings organized by the organization for Poverty alleviation and livelihood training programme.

This programme was implemented through the support of India Infoline Ltd. (IIFL Foundation). One hundred and twelve women participated in the skill training programme. Mr. and Mrs. Shankar and Mr. Prashant from Vasai were the three main resource persons for the skill training programme.

Ingredients for Dosa making, procedure, ingredients and process for different types of chutneys were explained to the participants. Demonstrations were also given. Participants were motivated to start an income generation programme during the training.  Equipments required to start a Dosa making unit with its budget were explained to the participants.

Fr. Anaclete D'Mello, Director-BSVS conceived and initiated this programme for the poverty alleviation of this area. He encouraged and motivated the participants through his presence during the entire programme.
