SAVEDI-AHMEDNAGAR, MARCH 21, 2015: The parish of St. John Bosco Church Savedi, Ahmednagar organized a two day Lenten recollection and Healing prayer service on March 19-20, 
2015, for its parishioners to prepare them for the coming of the risen Christ at Easter. The main animator and preacher for this Lenten recollection was Fr. Benny Joseph from Amala Ashram, Kolapur. Fr. Benny along with Fr. Michael from Aurangabad diocese and four other people animated these two prayerful days. Parishioners came in big numbers to take part in this Lenten recollection.
On the first day the recollection started with the Eucharist at 5:30 p.m. after which, Fr. Benny conducted the healing prayer service. The prayer service ended at 9:30 p.m. On the second day in the morning, the Lenten recollection and preaching was conducted in Jeur Village, where the villagers of our parish gathered for the prayer service. The Lenten recollection started at 9:30 a.m. and ended at 2:00 p.m.
In the evening, the recollection started at 5:15 p.m. with the Way of the Cross followed by the Eucharist and the Lenten preaching. During this time lot of parishioners availed the sacrament of reconciliation and penance. The service ended at 10:00 p.m.
