SAVEDI-AHMEDNAGAR, MARCH 31, 2015: This year, to celebrate Palm Sunday at St. John Bosco Church, Savedi, Ahmednagar, the Bishop of Nashik, Rev. Lourdes Daniel was invited. Fr. Manuel Murzello, rector of the community addressed the gathering and explained to them the importance of the Holy Week.
His Grace, Bp. Lourdes Daniel blessed the palms. In his homily, he emphasised about the love of God and his compassion. He added, "Palm Sunday will be meaningful only when we are 
ready to show that love and compassion of God to others." After the celebration, His Grace Bp. Lourdes Daniel was felicitated by Fr. Francis Fernandes.
A Palm Sunday Celebration was also conducted at Jeur Village. Fr. Cedrick Sankul was the main celebrant for the service. After blessing of the Palms the people joined in the procession singing Hosanna. The passion reading was done by four different people. In his homily, Fr. Cedrick spoke of the love of Jesus for us even to the point of death on the cross. The ceremony was well organized and about 150 villagers took part in it.
In the evening, an Adoration service was organized to pray for those affected by the vandalization of Christian churches and atrocities against Christians, priests, nuns and religious in India. The purpose behind this Adoration service was to have sympathy for them and also to
pray for our Country which is going through such turmoil. A lot of parishioners took part in it. The main animators was Bro. Alex Carvalho and Fr. Manuel Murzello. The Grace choir of the parish made the adoration service more prayerful by their melodies singing of hymns.
Jesus said, "They will oppress you, persecute you for my name sake. But don't forget, I will be with you till the end of time and always." Bro. Liam Misquitta prepared two videos showing the atrocities, vandalization and violence against Christians and Christian churches. The videos were very meaningful and helped the people to realize what other Christians in India and abroad are going through.
On the next day a penitential rite and confessions were organized for the parishioners to prepare them for Holy Week and Easter. After the mass a talk was given by Fr. Cedrick to prepare them for the confession and penitential rite. Many parishioners participated in this service and received the sacrament of confession.
