BIS #4455 TRIBAL CHILDREN ŒLEARN ENGLISH FOR A BETTER TOMORROW

WALVANDA, JUNE 10, 2015: Sixty one children hailing from two talukas in Palghar district are attending a special camp to learn English, computers and other life skills necessary for a secure future.

 

The camp, organised by the Bosco Samajik Vikas Sanstha (BSVS), began on June 1 and will conclude on June 13.

 

A majority of children are currently studying in classes eight and nine and are from various villages in the Jawhar and Mokhada taluka.   

 

Melvin Pangya, the camp coordinator and Father Anaclete D'Mello, Director of BSVS have ensured that all necessary arrangements are in place for the smooth running of the camp.

 

Gulab Vijal, the Sarpanch of Walvanda and Pandurang Dandekar, from Walvanda police were the Chief Guest's at the inauguration of the camp.

 

Those present at the camp stressed the importance of learning English and even shared their own testimonies of how the language has helped them.
