BIS #4515 INSPIRING A GENERATION THROUGH FILM

by Father Francis Fernandes

PUNE, AUGUST 12, 2015: Don Bosco High School, Yerwada, joined forces with 54-other venues around the country to host the Don Bosco Bicentenary International Short Film Festival on August 8.

The Chief Guest of the event was Prashant Thackeray, theatre personality, film maker and musician.

He regaled the audience especially the children and entertainingly outlined how they could all become successful filmmakers in the future.

The event was marked by the simultaneous screening of 20 short films-ranging from two to 30 minutes at each venue, including Yerwada.

These films were shortlisted from 62 entries worldwide. The theme of the festival was the celebration of the spirit of youth in a positive and inspiring way. The films narrated stories of young people who face the challenges and struggles of life with courage, determination and faith and emerge as inspiring individuals.

It was an initiative to pay tribute to the great Saint, who is also the Patron of the abandoned.
