Nearly 100 children participated in the programme, which began with a fusion of patriotic dances. A skit captured the life of Vasudev Phadke aptly and a video presentation – shot by teachers in his hometown Shirdhon, Panvel- addressed his achievements and life.

Children ended the programme with a fervent rendition of a patriotic song to express love for our motherland.

This programme was conducted to create awareness among the students about the unsung heroes whose selfless sacrifices and martyrdom gave us freedom.

Father Savio Silveira, Vice Provincial of Mumbai Province, was the Chief Guest for the event.

On August 14, children from Dominic Savio Kindergarten celebrated Desh Bhakti day, honouring the country's independence.

Tiny tots of pre-preparatory paid a tribute to Indian soldiers through a dance performance. Preparatory students then showcased the diverse culture of India through folk dances from different states which mesmerised the audience.
