BIS #4521 LEADING THE WAY FOR A BETTER TOMORROW

by Brother Lawrence

NASHIK, AUGUST 19, 2015: Sixty youth from the different parishes in and around Nashik met at Divyadaan to mark the Feast of Assumption and an end to the Bicentenary celebrations of Don Bosco on August 15.

The programme entitled 'Shaping our tomorrow as Honest Citizens' was organized by Nashik Salesians (NASA) for the Christian youth of Nashik.

It focused on the leadership skills necessary to bring about change in society.

A short film on Don Bosco was screened at the onset, which portrayed his life, mission, his immense love for the young and his continual recourse to God's Providence.

A prayer service and the film set the tone for the event that followed. Father Robert Pen then addressed the gathering on issues such as leadership and the future.

He encouraged the youngsters to be motivated, expressive and to show their leadership ability in bringing about change in society.

The youth meet ended with a group discussion on social problems that youth encounter regularly. This helped to underline methods to deal with these problems, for a better tomorrow.
