MUMBAI, AUGUST 20, 2015: The environment was the centre of discussion at the inter-faith discussion held at Our Lady of Dolours Church, Wadala on Independence Day.

The Bombay Catholic Sabha helped organise and publicise the event, which was attended by eminent speakers from the Sikh and Jain community and a special invitee from the Inter Religious Forum Foundation Group, who in the past, even addressed the Parliament.

The speakers, along with Father Vivian D'Souza, shared their reflections on the environment, in the light of their scriptures and discussed ways to protect mother earth from irreparable damage.

Advocate Raphael then spoke on behalf of the Bombay Catholic Sabha and lauded Our Lady of Dolours Church, Wadala for being the first unit to organise such inter-religious event at the beginning of the year.

As is customary, the National anthem was sung to mark the special occasion and that was followed by the singing of bhajans.
