by BIS Correspondent

MUMBAI, AUGUST 25, 2015: The Alumni of Don Bosco High School, Matunga commemorated the closing of the Bicentenary  birth of Saint John Bosco through fun and games on August 22 and 23, bringing back memories of their good old school days.

On day 1, the Young Past Pupils (GEX) met on the turf Football field at the Matunga campus for a tournament. The event started with an exhibition game played by the boarders vs the night study class boys. Eight teams vied for top honours.

Only alumni under the age of 35 could participate. Each team put up a tough fight and España emerged as winners. Father Elias Dias inaugurated the games and Father Glen Lowe awarded the trophies.

On day 2, the senior past pupils aged 35 and above, came together for a Carrom tournament. Although the participation was not as expected, those present had a good time and admitted that they were playing the games after many years. They hoped that such initiatives would provide more opportunities for the 'old boys' to come back to their alma mater.
