NASHIK, AUGUST 29, 2015: Father Ajoy Fernandes and Father Glenford Lowe conducted the Salesian Youth Ministry (SYM) for the SDB and FMA novices at Salesian Training Institute, Nashik from August 26-28

The Holy Eucharistic celebrations on all the three days emphasised on the theme of the Salesian Youth Ministry.

At the onset, Father Lowe asked the novices to fill a questionnaire on the Youth Ministry and had a discussion on the questionnaire and the profile of a Youth Minister.

Father Fernandes then touched upon the evaluation of the Apostolate that the novices are engaged in. The first day came to a close with the screening of the movie 'The Good Lie.'

There was a discussion on the film the following day. The novices were then divided into three groups and were given themes to discuss for a presentation they had to make the same evening.

The themes they touched upon were 'Joy and Optimism' for street children, 'Doing daily duties in an extraordinary way' for students of standard ten and 'Ecology' for Standard12.

The novices were then divided into two groups and had to plan for Teacher' Day and Children's Day. After supper, each of the three gRoups were given twenty minutes for their presentation.

On August 28, there was an evaluation of the presentations and later the novices were asked to make a three-month plan for Youth Ministry for their respective oratories.
