BIS #4671 HYSTERIA GRIPS DON BOSCO KURLA

by BIS Correspondent

MUMBAI, FEB 2, 2015: Three thousand students, 42 events, 10 departments, three days, one loud and crazy college festival, 'Hysteria', acted as a catalyst to unite the entire campus of Don Bosco, Kurla  for a three-day event beginning on January 28.

The inter-college fest kick- started with a wonderful show of talent and stunts on the football ground. Nearly 450 students, from various departments, gathered to witness the opening ceremony of the fest.

The fun-filled extravaganza featured a range of events, from fine arts, performing arts to sports. The sports events were amongst the most popular features of the fest. Students competed in throw ball, volleyball, basketball, cricket, badminton, athletics and football. While some displayed their wit in events like debates and quizzes, the others showcased their talent in music and dance, that got the Mondini hall vibrating with melody.

On January 29, Hysteria began with a loud and vibrant stunt show on the main ground. The walls of our hall echoed with the music of students, solo as well as group singing. Even the staff joined in to display their strength in the tug- of- war.

Athletics and sports presented the sportsman spirit of Don Bosco, Kurla, where people fell and yet rose, literally, to finish the race. A huge crowd gathered at the upper ground to watch bands perform and compete for the first place, in the evening. It was really music to the ears! The Hospitality department organised an event called Tripliciter, that brightened the evenings of Don Bosco Kurla with delicious food and light music.

On the third and last day, the college celebrated the feast of Don Bosco with the Holy Eucharistic celebration, which was then followed by Hysteria events that attracted huge crowds. Events ranging from photography to film making and throw ball to pot painting took place with great zeal in the Don Bosco spirit.

The fest ended with a fascinating fashion show, the football finals and prize distribution. To top the grand 'Hysterical' celebration, Naved Khan, was present for the 'Supersonic' that grabbed the spotlight and edged Hysteria 2016 into the memories of the friends of Don Bosco.
