BIS #4920 DOMINIC SAVIO PARISH GETS MEDIA FRIENDLY

by Avril Baptista

MUMBAI, SEP 6, 2016: Saint Dominic Savio Parish, Wadala released a new Parish Bulletin entitled "Savion" and published a new Parish App on September 4, at its precincts.

Father Savio D'Souza, the parish priest, in a symbolic gesture cut the ribbon and released the Parish Bulletin as well as pressed the button on the tablet to make the App Live.

The masterminds behind the bulletin were Agnelo Rodrigues and Laura D'Souza, from the Digital Media and Communication Team; both with tremendous experience in the field.

They came together two months ago and worked hard to bring the Parish bulletin back to life. It was reinstated in a new Avatar called the Savion bulletin, which will be published every three months.

The bulletin features reports from the various heads of cells and associations, happenings of the parish including pictures of events and humour. It will work as a two-way communication, with feedback and suggestions.

The App has been created and nurtured by Royston Dacosta from the digital cell. Named after its namesake 'Dominic Savio' it can be downloaded from the Google Playstore. It has all the weekly announcements and current activities happening in the parish as well as images of events.

The parish believes it is a great way to stay connected. It will help bring people closer, make them more involved and stay true to the Mission Statement of the parish, namely: Rooted in Christ to be an empowered and vibrant parish.
