Forbes also named the group as one of Asia's best 200 companies recently.

The Module on Grinding Abrasives would enhance the skills of the trainees and make them more job ready as it would help them work in manufacturing establishments, with dealers and in sales, where job opportunities would be available. In the year-long industry designed training program, SJITI would benefit immensely due to the technical education that the company trainers would provide. Besides CUMI would provide the consumables that they manufacture, for training purposes.

The programme began with the welcome of the Guest of Honour, Kallol Das Gupta, the Regional Manager Sales and Marketing at CUMI (Mumbai Region), M Barnabas – Technical trainer, Father Colbert da Silva, Rector and Amarr G Prabhu, Principal, SJITI.

Barnabas then elaborated on the programme and the opportunities that the Machinist and Fitter trainees have in the latest technology of Abrasives and Grinding.

Father da Silva then thanked CUMI for choosing SJITI as the second institute in Asia to run the course and offer a joint certification. He exhorted the trainees not to waste this opportunity which was a hand of God that CUMI was extending in partnering with SJITI.
