by Father Rolvin D'Mello

CHINCHWAD, JAN 16, 2017: Don Bosco in collaboration with AXA Business Services conducted a free health camp on January 11, for the women from the slums of Ramnagar in Chinchwad. The health camp was organised in association with Lokmanya Medical College.

The camp was part of the 'women empowerment project' that is presently running at Don Bosco Chichwad; 65 women and children have benefited from it.

Doctor Amruta Bakshi and Doctor Vaishali Nandgirikar examined the women and children who attended the camp. They shared that they found cases of fever, cough, low HB and anaemia.

The possibility of further treatment for patients in need of dire assistance is being considered by Don Bosco, in collaboration with Lokmanya Hospital.

Lalita Choudhary, co-ordinator of the project thanked the doctors for their whole-hearted support. She also expressed her gratitude to her team and the participants for their overwhelming response.
